My Movable Type Experience

Movable Type is a popular choice for bloggers, website owners and those developing websites. Over the years, Movable Type has made many advancements and had many changes in its system.

The current version is even capable of creating social networking websites with many users. The most recent version, 4.21, is available open source for developers. Individual bloggers (those who are not incorporated) can download Movable Type for free, while there are a few different licensing options for businesses.

Movable Type Developer Toolbox

Here's a bit of good and bad news for us Pownce.com and Movable Type users. Six Apart has recently acquired Pownce.com with co-founders Leah Culver and Mike Malone formally joining SA. It was also announced that Pownce will be shutdown by December 15.

I was a bit disappointed with the pre installed "styles" which are too simple, luckily Movable Type has a knack for easily installing new styles by just typing in the URL of the style libraries online. As of know I'm still trying to figure out the Movable Type environment and I'll be posting my findings here on future posts.

Hello to all, this is my first blog post for the Movable Type blog. I must say that I'm quite familiar with the environment because it's almost the same with my Vox.com blog yet with more features. I'll be posting more updates later on as I explore more. 'Til then.
